DEMO: This interactive demonstration explains how we name locations on the stage.

To complete this lesson, you'll need to know how to find points on the coordinate plane.

  • The coordinate plane is formed by an x-axis and a y-axis. The place where they intersect is called the origin.
  • Points are named by coordinate pairs, where the x-coordinate is first and the y-coordinate is second: (x, y)
  • Click Run to start the example and follow the instructions on the stage to continue.
